The South Side and West Side congregations will be "moving" through a new series in the Old Testament historical book of Joshua.
Joshua: A Church on the Move
The book of Joshua helps us to see how God fulfills His promise to give His people a place—a place to blossom and be a beacon of light to the world. Joshua shows that the people of God were not passive in the process. Their obedience to God’s Word and their courageous faith, in spite of obstacles, were the essential ingredients for realizing the fulfillment of God’s promises.
And, so today, Joshua is a contemporary guide for people of faith on “the threshold” of the rest of their lives, or for those who have lost their direction and in need of reorientation. In various ways the Joshua of the Old Testament mirrors the ministry of his New Testament namesake, “Jesus” Christ through whom we have an inheritance that’s good for time and eternity.

Community Groups
Our South and West Side community groups meet in our homes during the week. We will take another look at our Sunday preaching texts in this setting that allows for deeper understanding which can lead to life-enriching application. Our prayer is that this group exercise will lead to greater Gospel growth for all. Call our office to see where a Community Group meets near you.
