Tchaikovsky’s Trio, Op. 50
Members of Holy Trinity, their friends, co-workers and neighbors are cordially invited to a performance of Tchaikovsky’s beloved Trio for violin, cello, and piano. The renowned Russian symphonist wrote this chamber work while traveling in Rome in 1881. It quickly gained international popularity, but did so in mainly in the small venue of private house concerts stretching from Moscow to New York. In a family parlor, these three instruments take on the resonance of an entire orchestra.
For this third concert in the 2009-2010 Chicago Fusion season, Holy Trinity will present the Trio in the beautiful home of John and Joan Allison. Make your reservations by February 5!
