Intersection Cafe is simply a place to go hang out. Some nights there will be music, other times there will be games. The most important thing is that there are people from Chicago's west side who want to get to know others in the community.
Why do we call it Intersection Cafe? 1) First, and quite simply, we're at the intersection of Western and Roosevelt, a central location on Chicago's west side. 2) Also, we want Intersection Cafe to be a place where folks from the west side intersect in areas of thought, music, and art. More than anything, we want this to be a place of community, where people can have a sense of belonging to those who live around them. You can have the opportunity to actually sit down and talk to people you pass on the streets on a daily basis, or hear their music or poetry, or just learn their names and hear their story.
So, come join us on Friday nights from 5:30-8pm at 1211 S. Western Ave, Suite 200.
