Jon Dennis

Jon and his wife Amy have lived in Chicago for eleven years.  Jon is a co-founding pastor of Holy Trinity Church and also helped establish Hope for Chicago (ministry to Chicago’s disenfranchised) and the Charles Simeon Trust (training of expository preachers). In November 2008, he was voted in as the new senior pastor of HTC.

Jon and Amy have five children, all soccer players, whom he enjoys coaching.  He lived in Chicago long ago as a child (on the North Side), and has also lived in Switzerland, Cambridge (England) and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  He has traveled throughout Europe as well as in Africa and South America.  He and his wife enjoy all that Chicago has to offer—especially a quiet dinner together or a concert at Millennium Park.

Jon works from our downtown office at Jackson and Wabash just off of Michigan Avenue and the Art Institute of Chicago.  He can see the “L” from his window.

Currently Pastor Dennis is working on a Doctorate of Ministry from Westminster Seminary, a Masters of Liberal Arts from the University of Chicago and a city-wide church planting initiative.  He is co-author of The Genesis Factor.

Jon’s passion is building gospel-centered churches for the global city.  Jon and his family live in Hyde Park near the University of Chicago.
