Jon Dennis

Jon and his wife Amy have lived in Chicago since 1998.  Jon is a co-founding pastor of Holy Trinity and serves as Senior Pastor.  He also serves the downtown congregation along with Joseph Kim.   Jon has helped establish various ministries including Hope for Chicago (ministry to Chicago’s poor) the Charles Simeon Trust (training of expository preachers) and The Chicago Partnership for Church Planting.

He lived in Chicago long ago as a child (on the North Side), and has also lived in Zurich and Huemoz, Switzerland; Cambridge, England and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Jon and Amy have five children ranging from college to elementary school.  He enjoys coaching the youngest children in soccer and losing to the older ones in chess and bananagrams. He and his wife enjoy all that Chicago has to offer—especially a quiet dinner together or a concert at Millennium Park.  He enjoys rooting for the Bears, Bulls and White Sox.

Jon works from our downtown office at Jackson and Wabash just off of Michigan Avenue near the Art Institute of Chicago.

Currently Pastor Dennis is working on a Doctorate of Ministry from Westminster Seminary and a Masters of Liberal Arts from the University of Chicago.  He is co-author of The Genesis Factor.

Jon’s passion is building gospel-centered churches for the global city.  Jon and his family live in Hyde Park near the University of Chicago.
