Kid City: 3:00 - 3:50pm
Kid City, the name of our Sunday School ministry to children, is offered at 3:00pm for infants through 5th grade. Children can “board” the Blue Line, Green Line, Red Line, or Orange Line Trains and travel to their classes for a Bible lesson, craft/activities, a snack and a Missions Moment where children will learn about a "Global Ministry Partner" supported by our church.
This fall, we will continue using the “Children Desiring God” curriculum published by CDG and Bethlehem Baptist Church of Minneapolis. Preschoolers (ages 3-4) will be focusing on the Old Testament, lessons entitled “He Established a Testimony”. Our K – 2nd grade class is studying “Jesus What a Savior” and our 3rd – 5th graders are looking at “To Be Like Jesus.”
We believe it is important to offer even our youngest children a sure foundation of Jesus. Our little ones (ages 0-2) can begin to learn simple biblical truths as we care for and nurture them. It is our desire that parents feel secure and excited to leave their children in our nursery. Infants and toddlers can remain in the nursery for the entirety of the 3:00pm and 4:00pm service.
Kid Celebration: 4:00-5:30pm
During the 4:00 service, all children ages 3 thru 5th grade will be dismissed just prior to the sermon for Kid Celebration. The 1st and 3rd Sundays, children will be engaged in choir and other music activities. The 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays, teaching will guide children through biblical examples of worship and will explore the different aspects of worship in the large congregation service, with the goal of preparing children for gathered worship at Holy Trinity.
